After more than 10 years of musical activism and ambitious line-ups, an authoritative online media and the publication of a 300-page book, Phonographe Corp is now producing the multi-skilled artist Apollo Noir’s new album !

With several albums released on Tigersushi Records (Joakim’s label), on the refined OOH-sounds and through his own imprint, Santé Records, the productive artist widened his vision, from electro bangers to vapourous ambient music. His meeting with yoga teacher Marjorie Picard inspired him to create a 50-minute musical piece, which then became a part of their common project YPLC, for Yoga Power Love Connection.

More than a yoga class, YPLC is an invitation to let yourself go under Marjorie Picard’s guidance and A/N’s atmospheric soundtrack, played live. YPLC is a unique soundbath experience to experiment at least once in your life !

Apollo Noir and Phonographe Corp crossed paths through running sessions and discovered that they share many common musical interests and artistic references. This friendship at first sight led them to put this incredible music on record and present it on Apollo Noir’s official 5th album. Yoga Power Love Connection is coming out on Phonographe Corp’s Record Store Day, on the 22nd of April, happening at La Rotonde Stalingrad.

Yoga Power Love Connection will be available on a beautiful collector's tape (50 unique pieces), on streaming and digital. Also, a limited edition t-shirt will be sold at the event. Phonographe Corp & Apollo Noir are organizing a social run open to everyone on the morning of the 22nd of April, in collaboration with Distance Store, Satisfy Running & slash athlétique, with an exclusive listening session, in open air, followed by coffee. In the evening, Apollo Noir will play live alongside Machka and Saku Sahara to properly celebrate this release !

Through this album, Apollo Noir expands his love for ambient music.

His passion for ambient is not new as he launched the compilations Musique Ambiante Française vol. 1 et 2 alongside Joakim on Tigersushi Records. From as early as he started creating, this passion for ambient is weaved in everywhere, from his 2017’s A/N to his work with Adrien Pallot on Santé Records in 2022.

Serenity emanates from those 9 tracks composed in Auvergne, Rémi Sauzzedde’s cradle.

“Peace Of Mind”, “I am In Love” , “Confiance” or “Sérénité” bring us into this album’s constant feeling of appeasement. “Love Connections” carries us through an epic travel in the clouds, whereas “Padding My Reality” feels like being brought to a giant desert door. “Soundbath”’s synthetic new age 90’s choir acts like a whisper in our ears and brings us within our deepest minds.

This new record reveals Apollo’s signature : synthetic sounds, profound basses and infinite vapourous textures. It clearly reminds us of the likes of Brian Eno, post-Warp Oneohtrix Point Never, Huerco S or Aphex Twin. Yoga Power Love Connection is a meditative album conceived to escape conventions and leave our suffocating capitalist world behind.
